You should really read this thread. To call Campbell a dishonest hack is an insult to dishonest hacks. His smears against Soave (both from the article and in his tweets) are beyond outrageous.
This isn't a one-time thing. Campbell consistently smears people and argues in bad faith. Go back and look at his articles on Covington Catholic. Or even his dishonest piece from a few days ago suggesting a connection between pro-life views and white supremacists.
It's one thing for a liberal site to have reporters who are openly liberal. It's another to have reporters who are willing to smear people they disagree with to try to avoid engaging with their views. Even partisan outlets shouldn't accept the latter.
