John Minford, #SunTzu 6: 18 "The place I intend to attack must not be known; if it is unknown, the enemy will have to reinforce many places, but I shall attack few."

I shall attack few. How much discipline is there in this simple statement? How much time in the temple? How much gathering of intelligence and calculation of assessments? How much discipline to wait? Waiting is so hard. Attack. Attack now! Nay, nay. Wait.

Are you familiar with the ancient Samurai tale about the caged bird? What to do if it's not singing? Are you familiar with the Shoguns? They were the ultimate power during the Samurai centuries. The story is told regarding the three greatest Shoguns, those who united Japan.

Oda Nobunaga, the first, was the fiercest. His strategy was simply, kill the damned bird.

Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the manipulator of the three, would be to make it sing.

Tokugawa Ieyasu, the greatest of the three, the most disciplined would hold the simplest strategy, wait.

The simple statement, I shall attack the few, indicates Master Sun's favored virtue. It is complex, in that it is more than one thing. Patience, to be sure. Master Sun taught Tokugawa Ieyasu to wait. And, by the way, I'm not guessing about that. We know he studied Master Sun.

But patience must be matched by diligent calculations, diligent preparations, and then, once in execution, diligent tactics. Let's turn that into a little list:

Diligence in:

1) Calculation
2) Preparation
3) Tactics

While I am calculating (and simultaneously strategizing), preparing and determining my tactics, my enemy must reinforce himself, everywhere. There is a rule here is as well. There are no weak-spot-free formations. The moment you find your own weak spot, you must reinforce it.

Do you remember we discussed cheating by way of reading ahead, by way of using the coming verses to understand the current verse? Oh, I urge you please to cheat! Verse 19 - 23 give us the tactical layout of this principle with perfect logic, irrefutable force. Please read them.

The place I intend to attack must not be known. The word for this discipline is: inscrutable.

"Definition: impossible to understand or interpret.

Synonyms: enigmatic, unreadable, impenetrable, mysterious, impossible to interpret, cryptic.

Antonyms: expressive, transparent."

That @POTUS is inscrutable is doctrine at this point. All of his enemies decry it, and also say he should stop tweeting so much, as if anyone would have to agree. No, we don't. That he is inscrutable is precisely what is called for in this #MAGA moment.

What must the Democrats prepare for, what must they reinforce? First, they have to pretend they're not squashing Bernie and all his socialist followers. Second, they have to support Biden, with his rush to the center. How do you do both? You can't. They must reinforce everywhere.

Where will @POTUS attack them? At first, with no serious intent and no serious risk or cost, he'll scattershot attack everywhere with joy and playfulness. But, imagine Biden is the candidate. He'll attack by way of the socialists who feel so disenfranchised.

But what if Biden falls and Bernie - or some other socialist look-a-like - rises? No problem! @POTUS will attack their weakness in the center. Let's go back to Biden, the most likely right now. There is a deep historical, philosophical mandate here. Socialism. It is good and bad.

Personally, I am an avowed anti-socialist. But I read Marx and Engels, and I feel their appeal. For me, it's always the mine owners vs the miners. I know the mine owners were evil. I am for the miners. Socialism's appeal to the downtrodden is irresistible. This must be admitted.

Inscrutably non-ideological, @POTUS is 100% comfortable with this. So, if Biden becomes the nominee, you can easily foresee and left-leaning attack by Trump. He will speak to the all the Bernie supporters and they will hear him! Evil is as evil is, and it must be addressed.

But if any socialist candidate arises, all of the evils of socialism will be attacked by @POTUS, and the overwhelming force of the attack cannot be anticipated. He is inscrutable. His powerful attack will overwhelm.

Local leader, can you embrace the truth of the fact that you, your locale, has enemies? Can you model yourself by our leader? Can you rise to perform a Sun Tzu qualified replication of @realDonaldTrump's leadership? Let's talk about that, for a moment.

Emulation is underrated. One of the great principles of transformation, personal transformation, is to select a hero, a role model, and to emulate. This is, actually, how humans learn the best. We find a mentor, and attempt, weakly at first, be more like him or her.

One @realDonaldTrump is enough for the nation, at the national level. What we need in addition are 50 state level emulators, and 100,000 local level emulators. At any level, the enemy must be forced to reinforce everywhere, where the emulator will attack in few places.

Let's conclude today's exploration on the word "intend." I'm asking - and please respond in comments - what do you intend? Not merely - important as it is - to help DJT win reelection 2020. Rather, to make the caged bird of your local district sing. How will you make it sing?
