Why we need to remake all 8 seasons of #GameOfThrones.

For the past 8 years, GOT has corrupted the minds of viewers. There are calls for the last season to be remade. I believe every episode should be erased from history entirely.

First off, there’s the matter of representation.

The only dwarf represented is a vile misogynist. There isn’t a mosque in sight. The cast are mostly white, and even the people of colour display typically *white* characteristics such as aggression and greed.

Most of the gay and bisexual men end up having their heads squashed off, getting stabbed by shadow demons, or crushed by exploding churches.

THIS 👏 IS 👏 NOT 👏 OKAY 👏

Worse still, one of the most empowering lesbian characters (Mag the Mighty) was played by a MALE actor, which is like casting Scarlett Johansson in the role of Nelson Mandela.

This isn’t a TV show; it’s a hate crime.

Admittedly, there are *some* other LBGT characters.

Daenerys flirts with Yaga and gets fingered by that Dothraki girl in a tent.

And Theon has some mild transitional surgery…

But Arya only seems to change identity when she wants to stab people in the face or force feed old men with pies made from human flesh.

This is hardly sending a positive message about the trans community.

The plotlines are often problematic. We all know that whatever happens on TV ends up being copied by working-class people who don’t understand how fiction works.

The depiction of rape serves to normalise rape, and the depiction of dragons serves to normalise dragons.

Daenerys Targaryen is a typical white saviour figure, who frees the slaves of Meereen like the condescending paleface that she is.

That episode culminated in one of the most offensive images ever seen on TV, with Daenerys mocking people of colour by crowdsurfing on them.

Daenarys is only partly redeemed when she eliminates the predominately Aryan population of King’s Landing.

But for this noble act she is murdered by the symbol of a patriarchy that refuses to die: Jon Snow.

And although we end up with a disabled king, which is fairly woke, Bran’s inherent maleness is a real slap in the face for feminism.

He transitioned into a raven once – would it have been too much to ask for him to become a woman?

They need to remake the entire show from scratch, and ensure that all characters are either female, trans, non-white, disabled, LGBTQIA+ or ginger.

My cast suggestions include: Brie Larson, Tyra Banks, Jussie Smollett, Meghan Markle, Su Pollard and The Rock.
