Agreed, although there's an interesting & different convo to be had about the role Twitter has played in elevating a crop of newer VCs and how it’s helped them build their reach & relatability among founders in genuinely impressive ways.
Said VCs are modest abt Twitter's impact.
Perhaps b/c easy to critique—(e.g “they tweet abt ideas — I’m busy doing *real work*").
Perhaps b/c not as impressive to admit that, due to there being so many good VCs to pick from, a non trivial % of the job is just being top of mind.
