1) F16 crashes into warehouse near March Air Base in southern CA.

Thankfully, the pilot ejected before it went down.

3) Several people were injured on the ground with minor injuries.

The pilot reported a hydraulic problem just before the F16 went down.

The 215 fwy is shutdown in both directions since the plane is carrying ordinance.

We don't have a "homeless problem" in CA - we have a drug epidemic!

The drug zombies leave their excrement worse than wild animals, disrespect tax paying citizens, and randomly attack the innocent!

Stop throwing them back into the streets!
We used to treat lost souls involuntarily through criminal court orders.

Find me just one severely addicted person who voluntarily gets treatment!

CA just throws them back into society to terrorize regular folks like this family dealing with severe disabilities.

Infuriating!

Because insulin does not have to cost as much as it does.

We don't actually have to accept that.
You should be skeptical of ANY discussion of how much any chronic illness "costs" anyway

B/c those numbers are generally suspect for a number of reasons.

But also we should firmly reject any framing of health care around how much any chronic illness "costs"
No one seems to give a single damn about how much endless war costs

And yet we're gonna pinch pennies over the wildly inflated cost estimates of individual chronic illnesses?

In what world does that make any sense?

Remembering presidents in 2018 is an impossible task. The usual decorum of "respectful silence" we reserve for just about all people who have done things that were wrong or unsavory is now rendered obsolete when applied to those whose lives have extraordinary consequences.
Part of the reason is that presidents often act with persuasive intentionality to achieve results that knowingly and directly harm innocent people. These are not unintended consequences; they inflict pain and damage, and they are impossible to ignore.

If you'd asked me a few weeks ago whether I preferred squash-merges or merge commits, I'd have been somewhat ambivalent.

After today, I'm pretty sold on squash-merge as the better strategy. It's not without drawbacks, but on net, it's still so much better to work with.
Most of the drawbacks of squash commits in Git can be alleviated with other supporting tooling.

The inverse is not true - the drawbacks of merge commits are more difficult to work around.
One common problem: merge commits often bring branches with temporary commits that don't build or pass tests.

Yes, it's possible to rebase these away before merging. In practice, people often don't. And tools generally don't require passing tests on intermediate commits.
