When this bridge is wiped out by a monster hurricane maybe they can rebuild it with heat-resistant materials. Or, maybe the entire region will simply be uninhabitable by then. I live a mile from the bridge, wondering when it's time to GTFO of Dodge.
It's interesting to see how the story about the stuck bridge is framed as an inconvenience to holiday beachgoers, rather than the consequence of extreme and anomalous weather. It makes it look like a passive phenomenon, as opposed to the consequences of policy and inaction.
