Dear Justice Thomas: your conviction that birth control and abortion constitute a “black genocide” is laughable on its face. Worse, however is that you know that and yet feel the need to troll us anyway. 1/
So, while I am aware you are being disingenuous here, and therefore don’t need all this spelled out, I’m going to play along and explain anyway. 2/
Rates of unintended pregnancy rise with poverty and so also do rates of violence and mental illness and divorce and intimate partner violence. Rates of failed eduction rise with poverty and the poorer a person is the less likely they are to have access to or education about 3/
Effective means of birth control. So guess which rates also rise with poverty. If you said abortion, you win the prize!! So if the rates of abortion are high for African American women perhaps the explanation that they are inflicting a genocide upon themselves 4/
(An explanation that beggars reason, btw) is less persuasive that than African American women live in poverty at far higher rates. So perhaps when you prevent them from being able to make their own decisions about when and how to bear a child 5/
You are not so much a knight in shining armor saving them from their own murderous stupidity so much as clueless interloper coercing them into being saddled with families that are too violent, too poor or too discombobulated to manage. And consigning then and their children 6/
To lives of yet more poverty. Do you notice the way it goes in a circle like that? You see that circle has been constructed by policies you and your friends at the Cato Institute support. And by the way you can’t claim to care about black peoples lives while not 7/
Noting at least somewhere in the screed that that mortality rates for black women and the babies they bear are rising not falling. Surely if you force them to carry children they know they can’t care for you might want to care a little about that. 8/
But that’s just it. You don’t care about these women at all. While you whine and complain about the “elitists” who have made your life so hard, youcan’t deny that you sneer down your nose at them worse than any liberal sneers at Chick Filet sandwiches. 9/
If you did care about these women you might want to ask some hard questions about why they are so over represented in the ranks of our poorest. You would ask what historical forces have consistently conspired against them that hold them in poverty. 10/
So shut up with your phony racial defense. If you cared about black people we’d know it by now. Take off your mask and stop playing games with real peoples lives.
