Fraudsters can buy browser fingerprints hacked from users to evade fraud detection. No wonder the adtech industry can’t agree on how much fraud is out there. Cheating is cheap when our data leaks by default.

The Adfraud Paradox: Advertisers demand invasive metrics to reduce their perceived waste. Fraudsters abuse these metrics to steal money. Not only are billions of dollars wasted but it goes to criminal enterprises. Tolerate some waste to reduce fraud and protect user data privacy.
