Conflating Jewishness and Zionism, and making Jews feel unsafe in the US, is great marketing for Zionism. Like, if you're anti-Zionist, the BEST thing you can do fight for Jewish safety here, just like you would any other endangered minority.
If you're serious about your anti-Zionism, you'd be showing up when there are synagogue shootings and arsons (which a ton of *actual Palestinian Americans do*), because Israel's entire advertising campaign is basically, "as a Jew, you'll never be safe anywhere else."
And if you're silent on attacks on American synagogues, while *actual Palestinians are showing up in support of the victims,* your anti-Zionism is probably just an excuse to be able to indulge your actual anti-Semitism.
And gotta tell you, on my less trusting days, it sure feels like making Jews feel unsafe in the US so Zionism will look more appealing feels like it's not just coming from supporters of Israel, but from a lot of latent antisemitism from non-Jews who want an excuse.
