As long as MBS has our executive branch (and large chunks of the GOP) in his pocket, he will ignore questions/resolutions/condemnation from Congress.

Saudi Arabia is pushing Vision 2030 – a pivot to thrive in a post-Peak Oil world. They want to be seen as a comfortable place for western companies to do business. They’ve made deals with @SixFlags to build amusement parks. Feel free to not go to @SixFlags and tell them why. 2/3
See if a performer you like is getting paid to do a concert, the way @MariahCarey, @pitbull, and @tiesto have. Ask them to not go – or to at least use their platform to speak out about human rights. Don’t let KSA artwash its abuses. #FreeLoujain 3/3

It’s funny how outraged and self-righteous @mattklewis gets about the Democratic primary. He got his start with racist-for-cash @TuckerCarlson and did grassroots recruiting for conservativism. What’s his “individual” stake in our “tribe”? Why would he think his opinion matters?
I mean, according to his @Patreon account (he has a Patreon!) he’s got 151 people paying an average of three-and-a-half bucks a month to hear his content. Does he see how pathetic that is? Or does he tell himself it’s “a good start”?

This “there’s two stories so how will anyone be won over?” pose is so...impotent. You know how people will be won over? When journalists call a lie a lie; when both “stories” aren’t given the same oxygen. Otherwise you’re just fanning propaganda from your keyboard.
And now you’re complaining that people aren’t working hard enough to win you over. Again - impotent. If the behavior of the @GOP hasn’t already motivated you to fight for the stated values of this country then you don’t get your hand held now.

As Trump writes love letters to Kim Jong Un and attempts liaisons at the DMZ, keep in mind the North Korean economy is smaller than that of *any* US state. It’s a country to be contained, not coddled. KJU’s approval is worthless.
(Except to a weak man infatuated with “strong” men who is also obsessed with the myth that he didn’t squander his inheritance, he grew it. To @realDonaldTrump, Kim Jong Un is a peer: a Good Son who should be celebrated: his generals saluted, his lies believed over our military.)
After kneeling before murderous human rights violators MbS, Putin, and Xi Jinping, Trump bends over backwards for the leader of a country with a GDP smaller than Papua New Guinea...or Vermont. That’s how weak he is making the presidency.

Right, so, here's the bottom line: The US has worked itself into a position whose likely outcomes are (a) war (b) internal regime change or (c) lasting damage to U.S. global leadership. I think we're heading for the latter. But first, I want to back up and review how we got here
For about 30 years, the U.S. & Iran maintained a cold, uncomfortable peace, generally content to hurl no more than invective at each other. Even in #Iraq, where #IRGC-backed militias attacked US forces, the two found their strategic interests aligned more often than not.
