Been thinking about this today after reading it earlier. Carter Page was the deputy branch manger for Merrill Lynch’s Moscow office. That’s not an easy job to get and they wouldn’t have given it to someone who was ‘imbalanced.’
This as well. He was working in the Russian gas and energy. Gazprom.
Thereafter, he formed his own company dealing primarily with the energy sector in emerging markets. BRIC countries - Brazil, Russia, India, China.
Page’s company was Global Energy Capital, LLC
Who would open a co w zero cash flow? Especially one in such a niche market? He was drawing down on his life savings to keep it running. It’s possible he was just a poor business man. Wonder what his operating acct shows. Either way, seems he needed cash.
Wasn’t Papadopoulos also an energy adv. for Trump? Was Trump looking for any angle to get help from the Russians? Was RU also looking to help Trump but were more cautious? Supposedly, Mifsud seemed only to become interested in Papdopoulos after learning he was w the campaign.
And here’s another interesting tidbit. Page asked Yatsenko of Gazprom to work with him. I believe many were made wealthy off the Gazprom dealing Page seemingly was involved with. Price of treason?
