The weirdest thing about all the "the debate lineups were fixed!" stuff is the idea that you'd bother to stack the lineups for the first debate in a series of eleven.
Set aside that the DNC didn't set the lists. Set aside that the candidates had people in the room when NBC drew the names. Set aside that three of the four possible results for the top three had one of them left out from debating the other two.
(And don't tell me that Bernie-Warren one night, Biden the other, wouldn't have brought out conspiracy theories. Or Warren-Biden one night, Bernie the other. Or, hell, all three one night, nobody the other.)
A better plan would have been to divide up the top four or top six equally, instead of the eight (I guess) they went with. But unless you have a kids' table, you've got two of the top three one night, the other one the other. It's inevitable.
But set all that aside. It's June 2019. The strong likelihood is that the effects of these debates on Biden, Sanders, and Warren's chances will be minimal, whatever the lineups.
