Finally get to try the new bart trains! I've been literally waiting months for this. Will live tweet the experience.
First impressions inside: much more colorful seats. Bright blue and neon green seats made of a rubber-like material as opposed to dull fabric.
these trains are so much quieter I can hear the sound of my own thoughts
Theres a robotic voice that announces the stops. Is this the future? (Actually I don't remember if this was in the old bart trains)
I can't get over how much quieter these trains are! I don't have to use noise cancelling head phones to block out the screeching.
Welp so much for that honeymoon phase. Looks like the train stopped abruptly in the tunnel before 12th street.
Other passengers on this train are not a fan of the new train: "less comfortable seats" and "more crampt" seem to be the major criticisms. They do seem to enjoy the colorful seats though.
They are trying to fix the train by turning the computer off and on again. I am sure this will work.
Looks like the good-ol reboot trick didn't work. Now we are going to exit the train! In the tunnel! This is the most exciting commute I've had
Some dude is trying to leave the train, doesn't seem to understand door is locked shut.
I don't know where this is going but now we are all standing in line to leave the train.
The bart technician says this is all because "all this technology is too new" [points to train].
They are going to try one more thing to get the train started again. We have been instructed to cross our fingers.
They have succesfully dimmed the lights and turned off the AC.
Looks like that last ditch effort didn't work. Now waiting for a rescue train. Passengers are *not* happy.
Well we evacuated the train successfully! Turns out we were only few hundred yards from 12 street bart
Made it outside. Thanks @SFBART workers for handling the situation and getting everybody out safely!
