... as recently as February 2019 their CEO warned they were having to rethink UK commitments (it's an Irish firm) due to Brexit.

So like the car firms, and others, once the final decision is taken and the axe swung, Brexit is studiously not mentioned to avoid irritating some of their customer base unnecessarily (rubbing it in won't keep the factories open).

What happens if there's a snap GE, and we end up in a situation where no two parties can form a Government, even if they were willing to enter in coalition? In other words, where no logical combination of parties can deliver a majority? What then?
Perhaps someone could blow a whistle and the 650 MPs then get 72H to try and assemble themselves in whatever way they like such that one group, led by whoever they like (or several co-leaders, for giggles) can muster a majority. Completely tear up party lines, in other words.
Effectively a Government of National Unity, but one completely disregarding the political groupings that exist in ordinary times.

What seems remarkable to someone without a horse in the race (being neither a Labour nor a Tory supporter) is that Labour seem!content to let an almost infinite number of goal scoring opportunities pass them by. The Tories are in the worst state of any government still in power.
Yet because of the ideological stubbornness of Jeremy Corbyn and a very, very few cronies, they walk right past the ball, and don't even glance towards the open goal.

An opportunity like the one Labour's squandering comes around about as often as Halley's Comet. So why waste it?

Boris Johnson is demonstrably clueless over the Irish border question, let's hope he doesn't take any advice from his father Stanley who appears to be agreeing here with Mrs Thatcher's solution to Ireland....people need to remember what the Tories are and what they're capable of.

If Boris Johnson was failing in the leadership contest, he might be tempted to give up and vote for May's deal.
Which we don't want. Remember?
You keep trying to win all your battles at once. You have to go in order.
First we need Theresa May out of that job. And Boris Johnson can make that happen because he can make sure that May's deal never gets through parliament.
It's all good news today that you're all bitching about AGAIN.
Corbyn is against May's deal. But there are a few Labour MPs desperate to vote it through. Which, like we said, is what we don't want.

For those who don't know, Mary Sue comes from a Star Trek fanfic in which the titular character appears out of nowhere, yet everyone loves her, is the best of the best of the best on everything, and achieved accomplishments that normally take a lifetime... At age 13.
Ever since then, that term is used to any character in media (normally in fanfics, but it does tend to seep into mainstream media...) who normally would be unlikeable in normal circumstances, but instead are treated like the center of the universe (mostly by the writer).

Before I lose the idea. R76 and wax museum challenge.
I'm thinking Jack as a journalist, challenged to do the "one night in a wax museum" thing. (Since he lost a bet in his journalist company).

His boss wants a segment of his experience or something so Jack takes a vid camera, sleeping bag, notebooks and some necessities
His bet requires him to set up in the 'murderers' section for maximum fear factor and what not. Jack admits he's a little scared cause everything looks so real.

One of the statues is a guy called Gabriel Reyes. The story was that he murdered people around the city.
