🔎New Comey/McCabe emails released as part of McCabs investigation. Late October 2016 was a busy time.

The next day 10/28 Comey tells McCabe in the AM he’s made the decision to apparently go solo (presumably regarding MYE) clams McCabe and the institution don’t need to be dragged through it, Andy feels terrible (and also can’t spell or punctuate)
That same night Comey thanks his trusty team and makes a dorky joke. Next day 10/29 McCabe checks in with Jim hoping his day wasn’t destroyed by current events, offers his ear then Comey says “I suck ⬛️⬛️”
On 10/30 Comey sends quick email to McCabe that he’s going to call him around 9pm which is only interesting because of what immediately follows..
⚠️At 9:17pm (presumably right after or while talking to McCabe) Comey gets an email from AG requesting a sit down together, he forwards the email to Rybicki, McCabe and Bowdich.
10/31 hours after AG “pull-aside” info has apparently already leaked to press, DOJ is pointing the finger at FBI for leak.
Comey: what? Do they think we are idiots?
McCabe: More I think about it more angry I am.

Now context of these emails matters because they were requested by McCabe’s lawyer to defend him. So was McCabe the one that leaked the meeting and was feigning outrage? Hard to say but something in these were part of OIG investigation.
THIS is a very strong point, for those that don’t know FOIA requests are granted based on “keyword” searches (even when OIG requests) so intentional typos help thwart that🤬
Also included in the release are the emails about McCabe’s conflict. On 10/21 McCabe mentions in the same email of Boston attacks (?) that Devlin is going to move forward with a story he vows to work with Mike to push back, says sorry for dragging in Comey.
On 10/23 McCabe tells the team he and Kortan spent a good part of the day trying to “shape” WSJ story? What does that mean (considering these are emails regarding McCabes leaks to press) 🧐
Later that night Devlin sends his story to Kortan and McCabe’s wife along with other redacted recipients. Andy promptly sends to Comey. Interestingly the story while “explosive” also pretty much clears him so sure looks like a collaboration rather than an expose.
