Democratic state legislatures had better draw up some insanely partisan gerrymanders.
We’d better see districts that reach back through time.
They should break the commitment. They should make 40% of the vote give Democrats 90% of the seats, and then say it’s not intentional.

If this is the game, then this is the game.
The only way you can get Republicans to agree to change the rules of a game is by beating them at the game. It’s time to beat them at the game.
If you are running a marathon and someone comes after you with a knife, you are no longer running a marathon, and there is grave danger in pretending otherwise.

If they catch you and are struggling to stab you, it is not a moral hazard to struggle back.
THEY want an authoritarian one party system

WE need to stop them

And they’ve chosen the game

There are no norms
There are no rules
There is no trust
Increasingly there are no courts

We wish it were otherwise, but it isn’t

We can play a great game of chess. 18 dimensional. We can think 40 moves ahead.

After every move they hack us with a machete.

We’re not playing chess.

Even if we keep moving the pieces, we’re not playing chess.

We can wish otherwise; but we aren’t.
