Dmitry is right, I've made the same point too, but I'm afraid it is our most minority opinion - you don't get a deal through "believe" or threats, but collaborative working. Those that say the EU only want to dominate are just doing that to create a no-deal justification.
Inevitable follow-up, but Selmayr said Ireland was the price of Brexit, or Verhofstadt said... well, in a negotiation people say stuff. Grow up, which we're going to have to do as a country. And understand the other side, properly, not the paranoid version.
Just the latest example of the myth we just can't shake, that we'll only get a better Brexit deal by threatening to walk away. The myth that has hobbled our negotiating strategy since day one and continues to do so. (source @JGForsyth thesun.co.uk/news/9398378/b…)
