The idea prevalent among some conservative Dem voters that America is just not ready for a woman president or for a woman of color president ignores the fact that in the last three elections a person of color or a woman got the most votes.
(And don't give me that "but Hillary lost" argument--@KamalaHarris would not make the same mistakes, is a much (much) better candidate than Hillary, does not have her baggage, and will be riding an anti-Trump wave.)
Face it, the "only Joe can do it" line is rooted in sexism and willful ignorance of the facts of the case (just as the "Joe would have won in 2016" line is rooted in ignoring the ways Biden might have stumbled in his own campaign.)
Don't fall for this sophistry. Just like you should not fall for the line that somehow it is playing into Trump's hands for Dem candidates to compete with each other or point out each others weaknesses. Campaigns are about finding the strongest candidate.
It is not disloyal to seek to do that or for a candidate to make the best case for themselves relative to others. So long as all remain civil and committed to supporting the party's choice, they are loyal...and in fact, good, demanding competition is in everyone's interest.
