These 2 tweets elide 2 issues:
(1) Whether there is antisemitism in the Labour Party
(2) Whether the Jewish community vote Labour
What is the point of the elision except to question if Jewish people are in some way hostile to Labour, and therefore antisemitism is overplayed?
You might say, well, it's really an interesting debate about whether Jewish people don't vote Labour because of antisemitism, or something else. But I'm guessing because it began with a quote tweet from Michael Rosen (who blocks me), that it's something else.
The key denialism narrative from some Labour supporters blames Jews for the antisemitism crisis, because they are capitalists fearful of a socialist Corbyn government, and by association the true victims of the crisis are Labour's true socialists (such as Chris Williamson)
I don't think that is what @mehdirhasan is suggesting, but a key piece of evidence which is regularly put up to support the denialism narrative is that Jewish people didn't support Labour before Corbyn, despite Ed Miliband being Jewish.
