Was going over some old writing and decided it would be fun (embarrassing?) to share here - neat to see what held up, and what didn't.

In 2015 - 2016 I wrote 7 posts under a pseudonym, a mix of essays about crypto and short stories that tried to illustrate its potential:
1: A simple view of blockchain

I wish I had the time to deal with this right now, because we need someone to put together a standard guide for campaigns that addresses how and where to report attempted foreign interference, as well as good infosec hygiene....

George Asafo-Adjei thread right here, right now. Like I said before, I like what I see. Some are projecting him at guard. I actually think his best spot is at offensive tackle. Follow along to see why as we go over his positives and negatives:
I watched four games of George AA. I watched Florida, Mississippi State, Georgia, and Middle Tennessee State. We see him going against the likes of Montez Sweat, some reps vs Jeffery Simmons, Jachai Polite, and Cece Jefferson among others.
George will be #64 and the RT. His biggest issue BY FAR is his hands. His timing and his location are inconsistent. Here you can see him give up ground because the UF EDGE gets the punch in and his neck snaps back. If the pass rusher followed it up with another move, AA's screwed

The company wanted it; if Paterson hadn't disregarded it then Ash would still be owned.

Get a portfolio said the writing panel/advice/speaker in what is the latest throwaway simple advice that instantly builds a career…. So, let’s talk about them.

1)Portfolios are NOT magic. Simply having one doesn't get you a job. Tey are a tool to be used in chasing work and an increasing number of employers ask for them. Having one can be very useful, but just putting some bits of writing in the same place does not = instant career.
2) People tend to read your email first, then your c.v. and then portfolio. Mess up stages 1, or 2 and 3 may well not matter. Always rework your email, c.v. and portfolio for EVERY application. Focus on what matches that job/company.

Ever since I was a kid, I've always built my main rig myself.

The time when that was practical or necessary passed a long while ago, but it was an eccentricity I couldn't ever let go.
Some of it was borne out of the DIY punk rock impulse, some of it out of a sense of craftsmanship, some of it out of overindulgence of a control complex, I always preferred writing code on something that I built myself.
My main rig right now has lasted since 2009 and its retirement is nigh. While Sandy Bridge proved to be a durable platform, the models are finally getting too big to train in a timely fashion.

And this was the first time I paused before starting to look at components.
