Wow, #Marr just flipped *very* quickly past a story about Isabel Oakeshott during the paper review, saying "we may or may not talk about this later".
Doesn't look likely we're going to hear it discussed, because #Marr is carefully lingering for a long time on other papers. But I might be proven wrong.
"Let's go to the cricket". Dodging like mad.
Yep, completely avoided that story. Transparent and pathetic.

If you want to feel relatively more cheerful about Brexit, watch "The War Game" from the BBC archive on iPlayer. There are worse things than leaving the EU. Global thermonuclear war, for instance.
While the setup is different, the disintegration of law and order in the aftermath could translate fairly readily to a no deal Brexit if it brings widespread shortages.
If you can make it all the way to the end, then maybe - just maybe - you're ready to watch "Threads".

We are likely to see the resurgence of Theresa May's Brexit deal, printed in a different font and renamed the Boris-Johnson-Two-Fingers-to-the-Foreigners-Britain-First-Megaplan. And BJ will probably manage to ram it through Parliament, even though Nothing has Changed.
It's like someone trudges up a hill every day for three years to defecate into a hole. Then they get shoved unceremoniously out of the way, and the new incumbent deposits a huge steaming turd. It rests at ground level, supported by the massive hidden stack of other turds beneath.
Who gets the credit?!

Tory leadership contest has switched to a new, even more farcical phase, as MPs such as Liz Truss and Amber Rudd throw off the last vestiges of shame, and cosy up publicly to Boris Johnson in a blatant attempt to bag Cabinet jobs. It's going to get worse! theguardian.com/politics/2019/…
Of course, Matt Hancock took a solid early lead in the suck-up stakes, putting on a display of such fawning subservience it has yet to be equalled. But it looks like there are plenty of others willing to subsume any notion of independent thought for the sake of their careers.
Snag is, putting career first also means putting party above country - way, way above. So the relative handful of Tory members get the vapours at the thrill of all their policy Christmases coming at once. And everyone else suffers. But that's ok, because we don't count.

Can such a nomination be withdrawn later by the Pulitzer committee if it turns out the book in question contains a fabricated quote?
A link to Annie Jacobsen's forthcoming book SURPRISE, KILL, VANISH on the Spybrary Facebook group yesterday led to me doing a spot-check on the book and finding Jacobsen has fabricated an incident in it. I tweeted about it and recorded a Soundcloud bit on it.
Discussion on the Facebook page continued taking into this account. Someone said they had the gut feeling a previous book by her, THE PENTAGON'S BRAIN, might also have problems. In 2016, she was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for this book: pulitzer.org/finalists/anni…

The "correction" meme that Hartley-Brewer references was put out by Guido who channels dirt on me that comes directly from @arron_banks. Note, that everything we 'corrected' was due to legal pushback from AIQ - but was later confirmed to be true by the ICO's interim report
So, essentially Julia is working here as an @arron_banks mouthpiece. Note @afneil picked up all the Guido stuff too.
