And hello! From Newbo City Market. We’re just chilling here in Cedar Rapids, IA— a whopping *eleven* 2020ers are scheduled to speak at today’s Progress Iowa Corn Feed.

The 2020 campaigns all have tables at today’s Progress Iowa Corn Feed, and volunteers are here in lieu of some of the candidates who aren’t speaking today.

At today's Corn Feed, John Delaney says, "the president has said a lot of sexist and racist things over time...if he’s targeting a couple of women of color, right in these tweets & if he’s saying they should leave our country, that feels like it qualifies"
At today's Iowa Corn Feed, Marianne Williamson talks ICE Deportations, says, "Today as we speak, thousands of people are living in terror. A terror due to those deportations raids, those deportation raids which represent the most mean spirited kind of political policy imaginable"
I asked Michael Bennet if his POTUS run left his senate seat in purple CO vulnerable-- He told me "I feel very confident that the Democratic governor of Colorado would appoint a Democrat replacement, so I would not in any, I would never do anything to risk that seat in Colorado."

Speaking in Cedar Rapids, Kirsten Gillibrand hits Trump for his morning tweets hitting freshman members of Congress, saying Trump is "a racist president who's demeaning female members of the House of Representatives based on the color of their skin and their cultural heritage."
In IA, I asked Seth Moulton to clarify remarks he made to Politico saying he didn't know Pete Buttigieg in college b/c he hung out with athletes and people who "had a good time." He told me "Pete’s a great guy, he’s a good friend, and he’s been doing a great job in this campaign"
In Iowa, Julián Castro dings Donald Trump on his morning tweet against freshman members of Congress, saying, "y’all saw today the tweet of the president suggesting that four congresswomen should go back home," and hitting "people who build their political careers on hate."
I asked Pete Buttigieg to respond to Trump's tweet against freshman members of Congress-- he told me "I’m so sick of people being told they don’t belong here because they disagree with those in power."

Here in Cedar Rapids, Rep. Tim Ryan had some harsh words for Trump, telling reporters, "The president is a sick man. Because I don’t know how you are the most powerful man in the world...and you get your jollies off on race-baiting, on taking on people of color."
