John Minford, #SunTzu 7: 34 "The Skillful Warrior avoids the keen spirit, attack the dull and the homesick; this is the Mastery of Spirit."

Today's verse is the first of four extraordinarily positive lessons, guiding us to the following masteries.

Mastery of:

1) Spirit
2) Mind
3) Strength
4) Change

The verses that cover these masteries are 34 - 43. If I were you, I'd pause now and read them all.

Before we dive into today's verse, I hope you continue pondering the larger picture here. If you wish to mastery, truly master spirit, mind, strength, and change, how would you do so? Where would you turn? Had someone asked, would you have thought of Master Sun's guidance?

Being me, I had to go check my beloved Giles translation, and wow, FOUR full points to Minford here. You can check for yourself, Giles version is really boring in comparison to our list of masteries above. The verses are fine, but the mastery names, no, no.

And consider the order: spirit before mind, mind before strength, strength before change. Don't focus on what you think, first, focus on your soul's strength, compared to your enemy's, or to the challenge at hand. But next, gently, find your logic, your intellect, calmly.

Now, gather your strength and match it to the challenge. Then last, ensure the change you require - in our case, victory - and complete your mission. What a stunningly beautiful cycle, isn't it?

So, let's look at the first, mastery of spirit. Our command is: avoid an enemy whose spirit is keen; attack enemies ONLY when their spirits are dull and they are homesick, NOT battle ready, certainly NOT battle hungry. Facing an enemy, war is NOT about mercy. It is the opposite.

In 2016, we crushed our enemies' spirits enough to prevent them from voting in HRC. Coming out of their shock rapidly, their spirits rose to a high peak, which is still fueling them, but I detect their fighting spirit is waning. Here's how.

My first example is @realDonaldTrump's rise from 46 to 50% approval rating at Rasmussen in the days following his tweets about AOC + 3. The Democrats are turning into the Boy Who Cried Wolf too many times. They keep lying about Trump, in blatantly see-through ways.

@realDonaldTrump One of the greatest factors in our strength of spirit is that we very literally have the truth on our side. @POTUS isn't lying to us. His attackers are, and foolishly, they attack him for lying, with lies. This weak strategy is expending its force.

@realDonaldTrump @POTUS The intelligence of America, the native intelligence we gain from simple, American common sense can only be lied to for so long. Common sense can plainly see, there was not one racist element of his tweets. Not one. Yet, we're told he is a racist and must be impeached.

@realDonaldTrump @POTUS Can you feel their mental exhaustion and emptiness of mind? Where's the logic? Even if he had made a racist remark - which he did not! - how could this possibly rise to treason, high crimes and misdemeanors in case of which an impeachment may rightly occur?

@realDonaldTrump @POTUS A soul with a broken or empty mind, devoid of logic, cannot maintain keenness of spirit. Their lies, their perpetual lying is eating their minds and spirits alive, a type of spiritual/intellectual leach. They grow exhausted, not keen, dull and clamoring and boring.

@realDonaldTrump @POTUS I'll cover my second example rapidly. The Mueller Investigation was, in fact, a criminal enterprise built upon the illegal use of government power for evil purposes. It resulted in nothing. Nothing but the expenditure of millions of dollars and the complete depletion of trust.

@realDonaldTrump @POTUS It makes no sense to have an attorney file a suit against the bank you're robbing, while you're robbing it. The cry to rule of law made while so blatantly breaking the law falls flat, grows insulting, and loses all force. The yammering mouths stop speaking words.

@realDonaldTrump @POTUS It's your turn. Join in. Where is your spirit? Are you keen, dull or even homesick? If not keen, do not commence battle. If you are keen, who is your enemy; what is your situation or challenge; and how keen is the opposition. If you're both keen...wait.

@realDonaldTrump @POTUS Build your clarity of thinking and calm your mind. Build your strength and envision the coming change as clearly as you're able. Only when you are keen and your enemy is dull or homesick, only then attack.

@realDonaldTrump @POTUS It can never be stated too strongly or too often; as @realDonaldTrump is your leader, he is also your role model. Learn from his timing and spirit. Find your own battles and engage. And do share, here, how well or poorly you're doing. We'll help where we can.
