I Was this close to posting this video addressing Desmond Elliot's "brilliant idea" of banning foreign films in the country and treating our films like rice...

After reviewing the clip, I've decided against posting it. Let me rather make a thread.

1. The Film industry needs an encouraging "shooting" environment in all states and the states should come up with creative incentives to lure filmmakers to their state. Tax break, security, film hubs/gears at affordable rentals, financial cuts to hotel bills etc.

2. Encourage filmmakers through accessible and flexible bank loans with little or no ROI. funding for trainings, tax cuts on cinemas and film companies, protection of films from pirating, encouraging businesses to set up more cinemas accross the country.

3. Encourage filmmakers to make Nationalist films with our culture and to market thier films outside the country at film festivals and hubs, financially aid filmmakers travel and make connections at international film market they way we finance the hajj.

Lastly, INSURANCE! medical and otherwise, it should be considered a National shame to contribute to the failing health of people in film. filmmakers should have an association that actually does what an association should do, WE CURRENTLY HAVE NONE!
