@rgoodlaw @AshaRangappa_ In the letter, pause here: "any testimony must remain w/in the boundaries of your public report b/c matters within the scope of your investigation were covered by executive privilege."
So, if you've ever touched privileged material, you can't say ANYTHING not public? That's new.

All told, what a bizarre & distrustful last-minute letter to send to someone who was DOJ’s own as he did this work—not to mention an experienced federal prosecutor who knows a thing or two about executive privilege, where it applies, & how to protect it.
