The narcissist creates his own reality with lies. Most narcissists have learned what gives their pathology away and they act to conceal it. Lying on the world stage demonstrates the severity of Trump’s pathology and the self sabotaging mix of grandiosity with zero discernment.
Trump’s narcissism has never been insulated by intelligence, knowledge or comprehension and now the abasement is compounded by apparent neurodegenerative cognitive decline. Dysfunctional defense mechanisms are overwhelmed by continuous public scrutiny from multiple fronts.
He’s no longer sheathed by Trump Organization where he had exclusive say and money bought him out of grandiose foibles, never having to reign in or conceal his monstrous pathology. He can’t fire world leaders and he’s only been lucky they haven’t already paraded his incompetence.
