Now that I’ve got a job in government at last, I’d like to tell you about my favourite historical period: the Victorian era. Because this was a period when we were a truly great nation!
First of all we had an Empire! Just think of that!

And we really were Global Britain! Trade deals everywhere! Just like the ones we’re going to sign come October!
All our subjects were very happy😃. Sometimes they came to the Motherland to entertain our beloved Queen.
Occasionally some of them had hard times.
And sometimes they rebelled. We dealt with them firmly, but gently.
Sometimes they didn’t want to buy our drugs, so we had to persuade them to change their minds, firmly but gently.
But most of the time, they were happy.
Even the Irish knew their place.
Closer to home, the lower orders also knew their place.
There were always some who didn’t. The workshy and the malingerers. Those who couldn’t adapt.
We dealt with them, firmly but gently.
But for my forbears they were good times
We went a hunting.
We went to the right schools and learned how to rule.
We were gallant.
We knew how to protect our women.
The lion roared jolly loudly! And this October, he’ll roar again!
