It is late. This is very long. It is also extremely messy. So I will do a short summary of this Facebook status that Senika, the streamer, posted recently about her relationship history with the former pro Effect and the current situation.

1) Effect appears to have gone on an online rant about how Senika grew up poor & that she has done sex work to make money. Senika denies this, saying she grew up financially comfortable, but her parent’s business went under and they went into debt. She has never done sex work.

2) She went into modelling to pay off some debts that had been incurred in her name (by her parent). She found that the agency was not trustworthy, wanted out, & ended up in debt bc of the contract. Effect offered to help pay it off, which is why she always felt indebted to him.

3) She complained to Effect of online rumors that she had formerly done sex work, and so it was a particular blow to see him spread those exact rumors in his post. He implied that she said “I want to go find clients but I can’t bc of you.”

4) She paid off her debt with money Effect lent bet, roughly $60,000 (prob less bc of exchange rate). After this, Effect became more verbally abusive, saying things like “do you think anyone else will want you when you’re not a virgin?” The abuse drove her to a suicide attempt.

5) He blamed her publicly on stream for having mental issues, for being suicidal, and for impacting his own performance in OWL. He blocked and unblocked her several times. Eventually, they reconciled.

6) She met with a couple of ppl she had met online, ppl she considered friends. She was sexually assaulted by one of them. When Effect found out, he blamed her.

7) Afterwards, he pressured her to have sex with him so that she would be “clean.” Then he persistently began to bring up the incident and then threaten to reveal what happened, saying no one would like her if they found out.

8) The cycle of blocking and unblocking continued. Then he reached out once more and asked to remain friends. She also asked if he could provide testimony for her sexual asault case and he agreed.
They agreed to meet up after her trip to Japan.

9) After her trip to Japan, Senika had to go see a doctor for back pain. She cancelled her meetup with Effect. He became enraged, ranted all night, and it seemingly led to him posting his vicious post about Senika.

10) Senika has presently hired a lawyer and submitted all the chat logs etc (Note: I think to sue Effect for slander). She also got a mental health checkup, as Effect had said so many times that she was “crazy”: the doctor said she was merely under a massive amount of stress.

Under this post, she has included screenshots of her kakaotalk conversations with Effect. His language is abusive, violent, and vicious. At one point he says that if she were nearby, he would have beaten her to a pulp.

This thread is NOT comprehensive, I have summarized what I felt were the key points (which is a subjective judgment that I was also uncomfortable making), but it is not a full translation of her post. Idk if I can do a full one. This is extremely hard to read.

I won’t translate this but this is the Facebook post from July 17th that Effect wrote. In it, he provides his account of their relationship and reveals her sexual assault (admitting that he did not receive her consent to do this).

And I will just say
EVEN IF she had done sex work, it still does not justify a single thing. It does not justify him writing this in the post, it does not justify anything.

I’m sorry but I do not agree to any of this being used in an article or video. This is the threadbarest summary. If you need to write an article and you need a translation, please pay someone to translate it in full. I can’t stop you embedding but I can yell at you.

But once you stop using Twitter’s own tools and put screenshots etc in a video, that’s a different story.
