As part of our quest to build a physical archive for video game history research, we're collecting video game magazines! There's a lot of issues we need - way more than we could possibly tweet - but this ongoing thread will highlight specific individual issues we're seeking:
WANTED for our research library: Issue 2 of Electronic Game Player, from 1988. This was Steve Harris' publication prior to Electronic Gaming Monthly. It ran for only four issues...this is the last one we need to finish the set!
WANTED: The rare CES-only cover for Electronic Gaming Monthly issue #8. We need the one on the LEFT, we already have the one on the right.
Looking for: Issues 45 and 46 of Edge. In reality we're seeking British magazines of all kinds (international shipping is expensive!) but these two in particular would complete our set from issue one all the way through the year 2000!
Looking for ANY issues of the "Top Score" newsletter, other than this specific one. This was a short-lived late 80s publication from the Amusement Players Association that featured arcade game news and strategies. We'd like our collection to complete the lineage that led to EGM.
Looking for PC Gamer, February 2000. We're missing some later issues as well, but getting this one would complete our run of the magazine's first seven years.
