In an interview on the 1 year anniversary of the Liberal government’s Twitter diplomacy dispute with Saudi Arabia, I said that if Canada has no relationship with a country then we cannot raise important human rights, diplomatic or rule of law issues with that country. 1/5
We have serious concerns about human rights, the war in Yemen & other issues with Saudi. I raised these issues & spoke about the challenge dealing with countries we share interests with but don't share values with. I have raised this since the start. 2/5

A Conservative government will be more professional on the world stage. We will fight for our citizens & the national interest. We will rely on professional diplomacy as opposed to tweets, photos & Liberal cronies being placed into key positions like Ambassador to China. 5/5
