I'm Here @NTCastleWard today to hear from the people involved in getting quality conservation grazed pasture to plate #Dexter beef. Supporting farmer who want to make the change to #NatureFriendlyFarming and a sustainable future to beef production.
Hearing from tennant farmer Alan Laughlin on how he recognises that farming needs to be centerd around environmental gains to have a future. The local team have enable that transition into a dexter heard. The land benefits moving into species rich grassland high in biodiversity. 
We need to play our part in supporting those that want to make that change when the current market system doesn't.
Alan's dexter heard now means he has lower input costs. They convert what would be regarded as 'poor' grassland for modern forced breeds into beef extremely well with no need for meal and additional inputs.
" I'm not here on an environmental crusade, I'm running a business too and I my farm is going to continue I need to get on board. "
Hearing from Owen (Food & Beverage mgr @NTCastleWard) - Our customers and visitors want the story behind their food purchases. We have that and sales show it.
Paul Livinstone (Lead Ranger) - it's been a long journey with hoops of our own making but they are they for a reason. We know at the end this is a quality product produced to the benefit to the environment here @NTCastleWard.
