The human being who wrote these words may have had mental issues.

But the ideas behind these words aren’t the deranged incantation of someone completely unconnected to reality. They’re basically what’s being pumped into this ecosystem through the duct work 24/7/365.
No groups of white men will be indiscriminately rounded up, imprisoned, forced to register, surveillance, or exiled as a result of this man’s actions.
Part of the enduring violence and trauma of our failure to address root causes is that we have to go about our day knowing this just happened and pretend it didn’t.

The first weekend after the terror of the #MississippiRaids and the #ElPasoTerroristAttack, I’m reminded of a lesson a client taught me once. /1
He got cited for driving without a license. Pretty simple misdemeanor offense that really shouldn’t require a lawyer to handle. Go to court. Pay a fine. Take a class. Case dismissed. But he was in the process of regularizing his immigration status, so it wasn’t that simple. /2
Because ICE Officers had begun appearing in Nashville’s courtrooms, many folks in his position who had to go to court came to believe their citation could carry the possibility of arrest and imprisonment by ice while they fought their case, and if they lost, family separation. /3

Resistance types have been putting a ton of responsibility on elected officials, agencies (including whistleblowers and career professionals inside them), journalists, litigators, courts, and even companies during this era. That’s all fine, but look at PuertoRico/Hong Kong . . .
The power lies with people on the streets, taking direct action, signaling that society will no continue functioning as normal, commerce will not flow as expected, and consent will no longer be freely given, until change occurs. It’s really all that’s ever sparked change. it’s us

The #Threadnought has been running for so long it broke Twitter and they replaced it with a garbage-looking emergency backup. And the lawsuit that inspired Twitter - Vic "R Broly" Mignogna v Some But Not All of the People Who Said Mean Things About Him - is entering a new phase.
So tonight seems like a good night for a "case status" post. I'm going to do this livetweet-style, since that's the most convenient for me (and also because it will give people time to ask questions). The idea is for this to be a review of the state of affairs up to this point.
With that in mind, I'm going to do a quick (and NON-COMPREHENSIVE) walkthrough of the situation, then explain what will be coming up over the next few weeks, and in particular look at the specific things each side needs to show the judge.

Here's Philly's GOP mayoral nominee Billy Ciancaglini commenting supportively after Tom, the man who made death threats against my family yesterday, doxxed me.
If you'll recall, yesterday Tom implied that if I doxxed him, he would kill someone I loved.
Now, someone did send me Tom's full name and address.

Someone else sent me several photos of him from Facebook.

I'm grateful; I'll use that information when I file a police report today.

But I didn't doxx Tom.

That’s what Kaiser Permanente (@aboutKP) is doing to me.

Here’s a fun thread about trying (and failing) to get treatment for my eating disorder. 🧵
A few months ago, my therapist and dietician (both outside of Kaiser) told me that I should seek out a higher level of care for my anorexia. I went to my local Kaiser ED clinic to check out their programming.
The therapist I met with (whom I deeply respect) informed me upfront that there would be a confidentiality issue — bc their clinic had taken “quotes” from my blog (letsqueerthingsup.com) to use in their educational materials among staff... and patients.
