Keeping the security concerns aside, could investing in such an international highway corridor open the Indian Economy to the Global Trade?

Offcourse notwithstanding the fact that current-day Aksai Chin in integral to India.
On a Similar Note:

We would love to understand the current implementation status of the India-Myanmar-Thailand "Friendship Highway" which was in the makes over the last decade.

When can we expect goods & services to flow freely through this corridor?
