Last week @pressprogress (an extension of the Broadbent Institute), asked for the reasons behind my $10,000 donation to @WestWatchCA. I gave some of them in writing, but stated that I bet they wouldn't print in their entirety. I will do so, verbatim. #canpoli
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA In no particular order, those reasons are as follows:

•The Trudeau Liberals are the most incompetent, corrupt and least qualified group to ever lead this country;
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA •It would appear that none of the senior members of the federal government, nor their advisors, have ever studied economics, or perhaps even read about the subject;
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA •Ralph Goodale was for many years a stalwart supporter of the province of Saskatchewan and the city of Regina. In fact, I’ve voted for him several times and also donated money to his campaign. Unfortunately, Ralph’s best years are well behind him.
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA In the past 3+ years, he has sided with Trudeau, McKenna, Butts et al, in their focused and sustained campaign to “eradicate” the Canadian energy sector, in order to appease the NDP-Green alliance in BC and to protect the existing refining complexes in PQ, ON, NB & NF...
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA ... (all of which process foreign crude);
•If Trudeau and Horgan were really interested in protecting the environment, they would also be placing restrictions on coal being exported from Canada. They aren’t. BC is the largest exporter of coal in North America.
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA Most of that coal (some of which is being railed to Vancouver from Oregon and Washington), is being send by ships to Asia and India. Coal has 5x the green-house gas emissions of natural gas. Clearly, it’s not about the environment. It’s about votes and money.
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA BC will deliver some Liberal seats in the election this fall, as will Quebec, Ontario and parts of the Maritimes. SK and AB will deliver few, if any. My hope is that that number is zero…. which is the number that Skippy Trudeau deserves.
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA Ralph Goodale and his Liberal government have cost me millions of dollars in the past 3+ years. Worse yet their policies (Bill C-48, C-69, Carbon taxes, killing Energy East, delays on TransMountain Expansion etc.) have cost thousands of Canadians in western Canada, their jobs…
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA … including a number that used to work with me. Measured in that perspective, the $10,000 was a rounding error. Finally, I have attempted (unsuccessfully) to get a meeting with Ralph on a number of occasions.
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA Despite the economic contributions of our companies to the local economy, and the fact that he is the sitting MP in my riding…. Ralph refused to meet with either myself, or with my business partner, Dean Popil, CEO of Lex Capital Management Inc.
@pressprogress @WestWatchCA Clearly, he wasn’t interested in hearing from his constituents as to the impacts of his decision to choose Justin Trudeau over the people of this city and province. I’m willing to bet that you aren’t prepared to print this in its entirety. Respectfully, CL
