While I also use the term 'Ghar Wapsi', I have differences with its meaning as many imply.
I want people to adopt Vedic Dharma because it is the MOST complete and sensible option of all.
If your ancestors followed it, do Ghar Wapsi.
If your ancestors didn't, do Ghar Nirman.1/n

By Vedic Dharma, I imply not only the source of Veda Samhitas, but all philosophies that adopted its pillars of Law of Karma, purpose beyond mortal life, tolerance, purity, simplicity, self-control, stretching limits of mind/body etc..2/n

Bharat has been cradle of such awesome philosophies for major part of history. That is why Vedic Dharma is associated with Bharat. But, Vedic Dharma is for ALL. It is the right choice over superstitions, casteism, racism, fear of Hell that suits less evolved medieval minds..3/n

Since Vedic Dharma is for entire world - the most sensible and complete option - Ghar Wapsi can convey a narrow India-centric ancestor-driven meaning, which is not right.

I have soft corner for Shuddhi because it means cleansing from ignorance and dogmas..4/n

To be explicit, my Vedic Dharma includes Jainism, Sikhism, Buddhism, all Sampradayas of so-called Sanatan Dharma. But it excludes birth-based casteism, considering women not eligible for Vedas, and related malpractices that either were cause or effect of medieval dark era. 5/n

In Vedic Dharma, principles are primary. Guru/Baba is secondary.
If someone nurtures roots of Dharma, he or she is deserves being Guru/Baba in that domain.
BUT, Dharma is not defined blindly by any Guru/Baba/Prophet/Angel/Son of God unlike Islam or Christianity. 6/n

This thread is important because Agniveer (founded by me) is a primary enabler of reconversion to Hinduism today. We flexibly use terms like Ghar Wapsi or Shuddhi or #BeHindu etc for what we do. I least care what name we give, but we must be clear what our principles are. 7/n
