just one day in my life i want there to be lifegiving news about good journalism in this country, not heartbreak after heartbreak :(
instead, the evil and complacent prosper and the good journos get fired, harassed, laid off, entire newsrooms vanish
far-right propaganda outlets flourish on a tide of dark money while nonpartisan and leftist outlets die all around us. it is terrible
there are so so so few spaces for experimental writing, leftist writing, writing that’s fun and wacky, personal writing, monitoring local governments... it’s a tragedy for this country.
