This is absurd. Executive privilege covers (some) communications between the president and his executive branch advisors. It DOES NOT cover conversations with Lewandowski, who had no position with the administration. It does not apply to a president’s conversations with . . .
2. a private citizen. Moreover, it does not apply to conversations in which a president tells someone to obstruct justice. This is just as frivolous as someone trying to invoke a doctor-patient privilege even though neither person in the conversation is a doctor. Or . . .
3. trying to invoke an attorney - client privilege when neither person in the conversation is an attorney. Let’s call this what it is - a coverup designed to prevent Trump’s crimes from being exposed to the American people via Congressional testimony.

2. we’ve learned to question everything (think “no obstruction, no collusion, total exoneration”). When a body arrives at a medical examiner’s office they will “roll the prints.” Once they have the decedent’s fingerprints they will submit them to the appropriate authorities . . .

1. Yes, depending on the cause of death. In our practice in DC, if we made an arrest quickly (w/in days) and the cause & manner of death is easily ascertainably (i.e, multiple gunshot wounds to the back militating against suicide or accidental death) . . .
2. the medical examiner would provide a cause and manner ruling to us orally so that we could include that information in the affidavit in support of our application for an arrest warrant. Tissue samples, blood and vitreous fluid would still be sent out for further testing, but
3. the ME could & often did make a cause and manner ruling pending further test results. Footnote: ME rulings are always subject to change pending receipt of additional information. Often a medical examiner will rule the manner of death “undetermined” until more info is received.

HE'S ON THE ATTACK.

There's been an incessant drumbeat since 2017 that Trump is flailing, scared, freaking out, etc. It's an understandable coping mechanism, the sense that things will somehow return to pre-2016. But it's a dangerous illusion.
The steady erosion of the rule of law has accelerated rapidly in 2019. With #Barr as AG, Trump has finally found another operator like McConnell who will shred our constitutional protections with smug, brutal efficiency.

It's hard to overstate how bad things are getting.
This is not meant to discourage or demoralize people. It's a gut check, an acknowledgment that we may not be able to wrest power back from these authoritarians. In which case, we have to step up, be leaders, give each other support. Be strong. And draw strength from one another.
