/ Let's unpack this, because it's important to talk about with regard to anecdotes and survival bias.

First, it's a safe bet we all will die. Moreover, it's safe bet that most people will die of CVD (although cancer isn't that far behind). This includes #LMHRs...
/ The key question is on whether #LMHRs will have *early* development of cardiovascular disease due to their very high LDL cholesterol (and LDL-P). Conventional scientific opinion would say yes.
/ So if the LMHR Facebook group only reports, say, 10 people having events out of the current 3,500 members, should LMHRs take comfort? Or from the other direction, should any new or current member who has an event be taken as proof positive the phenotype is deleterious?
/ Of course not. But many will. This is why we need clinical trial. We need to have as many LMHRs we can afford to capture baseline data from and follow them. It won't take long, not with levels of LDL in the 300s, 400s, 500s, etc. "Cumulative LDL burden" is the existing opinion
/ Thus, no single group can test the lipid hypothesis quite like #LMHRs. They typically have excellent CVD markers across the board save very high LDL-C/-P and no known shared genetic abnormality like FH that could be a common confounder.
