After #CSAinquiry failed to adduce several written statements by ex-police officers when they testified to Westminster hearings in March (unlike for other witnesses), I requested the statements.

But the inquiry refused to disclose this evidence.

Some five months later, and now that Carl Beech has been convicted, in effect, of making up his claims about #VIPaedophiles, #CSAinquiry has finally published this evidence about #VIPaedophile police probes of yesteryear and the associated cover-ups. 2/7

Prosecution is due to call witnesses at Newcastle crown court re school records for ‘Nick’ and more on his time at school.
Prosecution is putting back evidence relating to schools until later in #NickTrial, but will call more military witnesses today and tomorrow.
Prosecution at #NickTrial calls Stephen Bamber, ADC to then General Sir Edwin Bramall, commander-in-chief, at Erskine Barracks from 15.09.74. Bramall reported to Sir Roland Gibbs as then chief of general staff, jury is told.

Day 5 of #NickTrial begins at Newcastle crown court. Prosecutor Tony Badenoch continues opening speech. Yesterday was taken up with prosecutor's opening speech, and he is about two-thirds the way through it.
Prosecutor tells #NickTrial that defendant refused to supply three journals in which he recorded sketches of abuse and venues. Jury will only see 20 pages that he supplied to Met. The journals were not found in any later police search, he adds.
Nick told Met that another boy went through abuse with him, prosecutor tells #NickTrial. Police gave this other boy the pseudonymn, 'Fred'.
