The Trump campaign is crediting Hannity with launching a DOJ investigation into the Obama administration, and they’re probably right

On Sean Hannity's radio show yesterday, Trump campaign spox Kayleigh McEnany told him, "The work that you do every night, Sean, is going to go a long way. It already has. We now have the Justice Department looking into the misdeeds of the Obama administration.”
That's the Trump campaign crediting Sean Hannity's conspiracy theories with the federal investigation Attorney General William Barr ordered into the origins of the Mueller probe.
She went on to say that the investigation would be particularly useful if Joe Biden is the Democratic nominee because "he was right there in the center of all the wrongdoing we saw happen there.”

The specific comments here about CNN's international team amount to a green light to the world's dictators to do whatever they want to them and blame it on their "Fake News." Journalists keep telling him he's going to get them killed, and he won't stop.
Trump did a long interview with NY Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger last year during which Sulzberger told him his rhetoric endangered journalists around the world. At the time, Trump acted like that was news to him. He doesn't have that excuse any longer. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/…

OBAMA should be more mindful when accusing Trump about the press & leaks:

1. It is common knowledge among journalists that the #Obama administration has prosecuted more leakers under the 1917 Espionage Act than all former presidents combined. But few admit this truth.
2. The Committee to Protect Journalists released its first comprehensive report on US press freedom.

They discovered that the Obama administration’s policies have undermined the role of the press in three fundamental ways.
