They had 8 considerations for user interviews.

1. Allow participant to choose where they want to sit in the room
2. Avoid sitting or standing behind the participant
3.where possible conduct interviews in a calm friendly but uncluttered environment
4.avoid overly corporate or institutional rooms
5. Ensure the participant knows they can stop the session at any time
6. Provide ample water and tissues within arm's reach
7. Schedule more time than average to allow for breaks or other disruptions
8. Be aware that retelling the trauma stories may be therapeutic for some but traumatizing for others
What they found was important in the aeasions.
It's important to have iterative design and testing where you co-design with your audience groups.
They had workshops defining what each trauma informed design principle meant to them, they came up with two groups of naming and co-designed the art direction of the app.
They're now showing a member of the EAG (Group of disabled women who were the expert consulted through the whole process) sharing what Sunny is and how it's used.
Ange says share it with all your friends and make as many people aware of it as possible.
Sunny App uses interactive story telling to help disabled women understand what abuse is, capture their story and help share their story with someone who can help them.
Here's an example of how they're helping deliver the content in an accessible way.
Because they used the trauma informed design principles with Sunny the app has been able to be used in a number of unintended ways.
To echo the design principles.

If we all create products and systems in this way we can create access for people.
