JUST IN: In a new filing, prosecutors are seeking a late October / early November sentencing for FLYNN, saying his cooperation "has ended."

Flynn's legal team says they're still battling for security clearances and need much more time. Don't have a sentencing timeframe in mind.
Flynn's lawyer, Sidney Powell, says the government has refused to grant her team security clearances to review transcripts of Flynn's Kislyak calls and his DIA briefings about his foreign contacts/travel.

Prosecutors say they've provided everything relevant to Flynn's defense.
NEW: Prosecutors and lawyers for FLYNN are at an impasse over whether he's ready to be sentenced.

Flynn's team says it needs" significant" time and access to classified materials. Prosecutors, more or less, say that's BS.

Judge Sullivan not inclined to go along with Flynn team’s schedule — he sets a status conference for Sept. 10 even though Flynn’s lawyers said they couldn’t meet for at least 30 days.

The filing appeals to Judge Sullivan's reputation as being tough on rogue prosecutors, but also appears to be a potential pardon play -- unfurling a litany of charge against prosecutors that Trump has long embraced.

INTERESTING: Judge Sullivan held a sealed hearing with Flynn and his defense counsel today to hear out their demand for security clearances.

He told them he'd deal with their broader motion demanding more evidence from prosecutors before deciding the clearance issue.
Prosecutors weren’t included in the ex parte hearing. Unclear why at the moment but full status conference scheduled for Tuesday.

NEWS: The House Intel Committee voted tonight to release a tranche of transcripts from the GOP-led Russia investigation in 2017-2018. We could see them in a day or two.
MORE NEWS: Rep. SCHIFF says DNI Maguire has refused to turn over the contents of an "urgent" whistleblower complaint that could involve wrongdoing by the president or his advisers.

He now says Maguire must testify by Thursday, possibly under subpoena. Story TK
NEW: Intel officials told lawmakers today that the whistleblower complaint DNI Maguire denied to Congress didn't meet the technical definition of an "urgent" complaint, overruling the IG on the matter.

He also doesn't plan to appear for a Thurs hearing.

Lewandowski’s testimony to Mueller was key to one of the most vivid episodes of potential obstruction. Trump asked him to tell Jeff Sessions to block the Russia investigation or be fired.
Lewandowski passed the order on to Rick Dearborn (who isn’t showing today under orders from the WH). And Dearborn never followed through.

Mueller notes that Trump’s aides/allies aren’t accessories to potential obstruction because they didn’t carry out the orders.

NEW: Nadler says the Judiciary Committee is too bogged down "impeaching Trump" to turn to a Kavanaugh probe right now.

Says the next step on Kavanaugh will be when Wray comes in for a previously scheduled hearing next month.

1/ First, let's recall who Christopher Steele is: the former Russia desk chief for MI6, whose Russian sources were considered so well-developed that the MI6 actually tasked Steele with *training other spies*. He'd worked repeatedly—and to great success—with the FBI on past cases.
2/ Steele tried to get the FBI to take the raw intel he had seriously. He gave it to the FBI on his own say-so—no one told him to. He did what he did because he was worried (we now know rightly) about U.S. national security. He went to media only when the FBI buried his research.

To everyone that (again) thought this #Mueller SC probe was wrapping up...

NOPE.

This was never going anywhere in the court of law, court of public opinion is where this is being tried.

The probe will end closer to 2020 campaign season.
The day Mueller was appointed I knew he'd streach out the probe until late 2019 early 2020.

If the probe wrapps any sooner, expect impeachment proceeding shortly there after. The "report" would be a needed pretext to do so.

I'm honestly not sure if the house will try it.
I'm not rooting for impeachment, I just live in the real world. The democrats just might think that would hurt his reelection run... Again, there is no real legal jeopardy here, but they're playing for hearts and minds with their propaganda blitz.

(THREAD) The Trump investigation no one is discussing is the one that could prove—via direct evidence—that Trump stole the presidency. Inspector General Horowitz needs to talk to Joseph DiGenova, a Trump supporter who may well be the man whose actions threw the election to Trump.
1. When Comey declined to indict Clinton over her private email server in July 2016, the two biggest critics of the decision—both Trump supporters, both vociferous—were Trump advisor Rudy Giuliani and current attorney for Trump-Russia figures Joe DiGenova. thehill.com/blogs/pundits-…
2. Giuliani is well known for having creepily predicted an "October surprise" for Clinton just 72 hours before Comey re-opened the Clinton investigation. And Giuliani's role went well beyond being a Nostradamus; he was likely involved in Comey feeling forced to re-open the case.

Maybe these suspicious payments from Trump's campaign to Trump in late 2016—mere weeks after Michael Cohen paid Stormy Daniels an "unreimbursed" $130,000—will turn out to be outsized transition-period rent costs. Or maybe they won't. Media should investigate it. (h/t @ScottMonty)
2/ As you can see from the chart, Trump's campaign *also* paid Trump for rent *twice* in October—breaking with the established pattern of payments that had preceded. Keep in mind that Daniels was paid off in late October/early November—exactly when the odd payment pattern begins.
3/ Keep in mind, it'd be *hard* to hide a Daniels payoff, as a) it's bigger than most individual Trump-campaign costs and b) payments to vendors can't be to imaginary vendors or it'll be easily caught. So the payment had to be to Trump and for a normally large expense, like rent.
