Maybe these suspicious payments from Trump's campaign to Trump in late 2016—mere weeks after Michael Cohen paid Stormy Daniels an "unreimbursed" $130,000—will turn out to be outsized transition-period rent costs. Or maybe they won't. Media should investigate it. (h/t @ScottMonty) 
2/ As you can see from the chart, Trump's campaign *also* paid Trump for rent *twice* in October—breaking with the established pattern of payments that had preceded. Keep in mind that Daniels was paid off in late October/early November—exactly when the odd payment pattern begins.
3/ Keep in mind, it'd be *hard* to hide a Daniels payoff, as a) it's bigger than most individual Trump-campaign costs and b) payments to vendors can't be to imaginary vendors or it'll be easily caught. So the payment had to be to Trump and for a normally large expense, like rent.
4/ Many are wondering why Cohen created a single-purpose LLC ("Essential Consultants, LLC") if his plan was just to pay Stormy Daniels off out of pocket—and *not* be reimbursed. The answer: if he *was* planning to be reimbursed, he'd want the money to go to a pass-through entity.
5/ Many are asking whether Cohen can be disbarred for what he did, and the answer is—preliminarily—it does appear that he violated the Rules of Professional Conduct. That said, he's only nominally an attorney—he's just Trump's bag man—so I don't know if he cares about disbarment.
