Being President is a privilege bestowed on a person by citizens. It does not bestow any rights beyond what any citizen has. 2/
The President takes an oath of office.
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." 3/

All of a President's actions should be guided by that obligation he has accepted and should responsibly carry out. 4/
Certain regulations apply to the handling of classified material. Those regulations state that classification is under the President's authority. They do not give him any "rights," only authority to be responsibly exercised. 5/
If classified material is released without proper authorization, the regulations say it remains classified. We get into a gray area when the President impulsively shares classified information. We really need an administrative law person to weigh in, but they seem to be in hiding
There are procedures for declassification. It's doubtful that the President has followed them in any of his releases.
So he's probably violated his oath of office and certainly hasn't behaved responsibly.
