It is untenable + baffling that when the country desperately needs firm and decisive leadership to steer us out of economic stagnation and horrifying unemployment the President seems to be focused on uniting the ANC. Basically what he is trying to do is to
achieve peace and accommodation between a faction that wants corruption and looting to continue because they are beneficiaries and those that want to see law and order and social justice achieved at all levels. The values that binder them contradict each
other fundamentally. They want a captured state and its broken criminal justice system to continue because they will Not have to account for their actions. The other, led by President Ramaphosa wants accountability. These are fundamentally irreconcilable

At the centre of all this is the Tripartite Alliance. It is the quintessential object of what we mean by the most counter revolutionary force since the democratic era. Thay have directly caused policy incoherence + gridlock as unelected partners of the ANC.
