While in Ireland, VP Pence is staying in Trump's golf resort. Which is in Doonbeg (red pin).

His official duties are in Dublin, which is literally the opposite side of the country.

Apart from enriching the President, what is the purpose of running up taxpayer costs like this?
Maybe Pence is staying at Trump's Irish hotel to help build the wall - a sea wall designed to protect the golf course from coastal erosion due to climate change.

Pence spent the morning waxing lyrical about his personal ties to Doonbeg to cover his shilling for Trump.

Then he spent the afternoon shilling for Boris Johnson.

1) All protests must be approved by the administration and in the designated protest era. This recalls the "free speech zones" of the Trump era. Essentially: denude protest of power by hiding it.
@MarquetteU @JeffreyASachs @PhilipRocco 2) Second, @MarquetteU is telling people that they are not responsible for their own behavior, but also for those around them. Someone in your group, or a guest, misbehaves, you are all guilty. Hard to think of a more chilling threat to collective action.

Interpreters in Iraq signed up to work with the US military. They put on uniforms, lived on a base, saved US lives, earned the loyalty of the troops around them. They made themselves targets. Then, the US refused to help them. 1/
