one last birthday thought: ive had a lot of suicidal ideation in my life, in my teens, early 20s, post divorce. thought i really might never see 30. sometimes, i hoped i never would. on this side of things, im glad. if you need to hear this today: hang in there.
in my life, ive had days (and weeks and months) where i thought the world would be better if i threw myself under a car/slit my wrists open/etc. some folks may still think so but i am lucky to live with an abundance of love. i am grateful for the people that pulled me through.
the love of others has been a life raft for me over and over and i do not take it for granted. and i promise you if you are doubting the worth of your own existence someday the light will hit just right on the river & you will suprise yourself with your own capacity for joy.
