1/ Joshua Wong delivered the following message through his legal representative:

I was arrested by police for “breaching bail conditions” this morning at the Airport’s customs and I am detained in custody now.
2/ Preliminary legal advice suggested that the Court had acknowledged and approved my trips to Germany and the US when it granted bail on August 30. Therefore, it is believed that some mistakes have been made on the bail certificate.
3/ It is expected that I will be released after the hearing tomorrow morning so I hope fellow friends not to worry too much.
4/ I believe the ridiculous circumstance I’m facing now is the direct consequence of the political prosecution and arrest. It also reflects the maladministration of HK government as by making these mistakes,
5/ it leads to the lose-lose situation now we are facing, even though I believe today’s incident is nothing personal against me.

7/ I’m also discontented to police’s decision to detain me overnight, despite a clear procedural hiccup, which is utterly unreasonable.

Initial response to Carrie Lam:

1. Too little and too late now — Carrie Lam's response comes after 7 lives sacrificed, more than 1,200 protestors arrested, in which many are mistreated in police station.
2. The intensified police brutality in the previous weeks have left an irreversible scar to the entire HK society. And therefore, at this very moment, when Carrie Lam announced withdrawal, people would not believe it is a 'sincere' move.
3. Instead, HK people are well-aware of her notorious track record. Whenever there are signs of sending a palm branch, they always come with a far tighter grip on exercising civil rights. Earlier today Ronny Tong has already advised using secret police.

Dear friends, I’m back.

1. Two months after I got released from prison, I’m arrested again. Even though it’s a heavy cross to bear, I expected that I would be arrested and prosecuted in this movement again.
2. Compared with the hardships of our companions, some of them may got beaten up by the police, may got sexually assaulted, may got shot in eye, everything I’m facing is really insignificant.

3. I was arrested and prosecuted this morning in route to my community work outside South Horizons MTR Station. I am accused of inciting, organizing and participating unauthorized assembly on 21 June, protest outside Police HQ in Wanchai.

1. One day after G7 leaders backed HK's autonomy, CE Carrie Lam is now planning to impose a "#MartialLaw" to #HongKong. HK's commerce minister even claimed that such martial law will have no effect on this Asia Financial Hub & should be accepted by the international community.
2. This Emergency Regulations Ordinance (ERO) HKGov planning to use, would allow HKGov to do whatever it wants. It is a de facto Martial Law, with no PLA marching on the streets, but would bring an equivalent threat of violence to the city.
3. According to ERO, Lam can "make any regulations whatsoever which (s)he may consider desirable in the public interest" without check and balance from the legislature, include declaring curfew. #HumanRights and freedom of expression are under threat.

According to the @UN note on principle of non-refoulement, "The absence of formal recognition as a refugee does not preclude that the person concerned possesses refugee status and is therefore protected by the principle of non-refoulement." FreeAssange
Therefore, it does not matter whether or not the UK recognizes Assange as a refugee as Ecuador did for approx. 6 yrs. ASSANGE IS A REFUGEE who requires safe passage to a safe country where his life, liberty, right to due process and no torture are respected.

So I want to present an idea, just a thought experiment, not trying to assert anything or change any minds (though I still fucking hate Assange):

What if Seth Rich is dead because DC is a criminal shithole, and Assange/Wikileaks have been exploiting the ambiguity of his death?
I don't think Assange is a dumb guy. I think he's a egomaniacal asshole, but I don't assume idiocy.

So why would he be dumb enough to almost effectively namedrop Seth Rich implying he was killed for being a Wikileaks source, when Wikileaks is strict about NOT revealing sources?
Why would, under the banner of not revealing any of their sources, Wikileaks set up a reward for the information on Seth Rich's murderers?

Transit is an existing customs procedure. Allows to move customs formalities away from the border and only scan a barcode when passing the border. In some cases transit can start or end at company’s own premises. (Bit more on it here) /2
