A bite size overview of the bills the committee will review today:
First, H.R. 205, sponsored by Florida Republican Representative Francis Rooney, it proposes permanently banning offshore drilling on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Next, H.R 1941. It is sponsored by South Carolina Democrat Joe Cunningham, and it would block the Interior Dept from leasing to developers in the Atlantic and Pacific.

Last for today, H.R. 1146, this bill would restore protections for the Arctic by repealing a provision of the 2017 tax bill which mandated oil/gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Note: These bills enjoy widespread bipartisan support in the House but they are very unlikely to enjoy such a warm reception in the Senate. Dems are using them to express their own enviro bona fides etc. But the key is it forces Republicans to duke it out on climate publicly
The time to force these issues is particularly ripe for dozens of reasons but while we're on a more immediate timeline:
Hurricane season ends Nov. 30. September is prime time due to ideal water temps and wind conditions. It doesn't always drop off after September either.
In the last 15 years, for example, major storms have pummeled the U.S. in October. See: Hurricane Matthew, Superstorm Sandy, Hurricane Wilma, Hurricane Nate

@CourthouseNews Legislation barring offshore oil development along US. coastlines and inside the Arctic has support from voters of all political stripes but today Republicans foretold doom for bills slated for a vote in the House later this week.

Excerpt: Getting her child back won’t be easy. The mother, although having arrived in Miami on Tuesday, can’t pick her up. Paul was told she had to go through the process of applying to be her daughter’s sponsor with HHS.
In order to get custody of her daughter, Paul would have to collect documentation that would prove she’s her mother — like a birth certificate, government identification as well as proof of address. In the past, this process has taken anywhere from weeks to months.
To make matters more challenging, Paul says U.S. officials told her that she can only stay in the U.S. until Sept. 26.

9/11 began a long love affair for me with New York and with journalism. I said to my mom on September 13, 2001, I need to see it. I need to go, I want to see it. My adolescent brain couldn't process it all, seeing was believing to me. Seeing was healing. She took me a day later.
That trip shaped me into who I am, drilled into me the permanent "why?" I have followed that "why" all the way to where I am today. Out of terror, loss, grief, something good came. Now, 18 years later, I think I truly understand how strong she was in the face of her own horror.
I think about the day I asked to go. I think about the trip. I think about what I saw. As the daughter of a photographer, I took pictures, of course. Pictures I don't share, really. They are just my tangible proof that this unimaginable horrible thing really did happen.

Anybody who has been following my #deflationary scenario remembers my #Oil chart. The bounce, we saw from end 2018 until April 2019 was a wave "B" bounce in this wave 5 of the great Ending Diagonal. We will see Oil plummet to min. 22USD pot. all the wavy to ~10USD #HZupdates
This has not come as a surprise! #AUDUSD (Inflation gauge) had for a long time been flirting with LT-trendline from 2008. This was a sign of weakness in inflation - which could only play out, if Oil dropped (like the Ending diagonal suggested) #HZupdates

1/1 Do you know that in August 2011,international gold-price was US $ 1948.And US $ vs rupee was at Rs 44.73

Due to above , in 2011, domestic gold-price for 10 gm(Tola ) price was Rs 30745 (One ounce contains 28.34 gms )
1/2 Today international gold-price is US $ 1290 and domestic gold-price per 10 gram in Indian rupees is Rs 32090 .

So although international gold-price came down by 33% in last 8 years ( from 1948 to 1290 ) , domestic gold-price has remained same due to rupee depreciation.
1/3 Now if one has to take a long call ,let's say upto 2025 (as asset cycles happen to be of very long duration) .Either we can assume that there won't be any change in prices or we should be looking at it from different angles ! Here’re few scenarios to ponder upon :
