Lib Dems shift to outright revocation policy on Brexit theguardian.com/politics/2019/…
That's interesting. Problems: 1) Might be a hard sell in Tory-Lib Dems marginals they're targeting. 2) Effectively takes them out the People's Vote campaign. 3) Bolsters Brexiter argument that Remain is willing to overrule referendum result.
Positives: 1) Having most pro-Remain party adopt that radical position can help shift other parties further towards Remain.
2) Doesn't really matter how you criticise Brexit - even if you back May's hard Brexit - opponents always say you want to overrule result, so what does it matter?
3) My experience is somewhere between a quarter to a half of Remainers, on and off, have supported revoke since the referendum. They deserve a voice.
4) A lot of Brexit campaigning will come down to being able to convince people that you can make it all just fucking stop. Even though utterly false, that's strongest element of no-deal argument. Revoke gives Lib Dems that and may be more popular than people expect.
